COPERNICUS brand

In March 2001 PPWK created a new series on the utilitarian cartography market under the name of COPERNICUS. It is a brand in which PPWK decided to issue its products connected with the tourist map and road atlas market. COPERNICUS maps and atlases are designed using digital technology and, not as it was earlier, traditional technology. Using computers while editing maps enabled frequent updating and a higher product quality. Most of the maps are made in accordance with the GPS standard. The COPERNICUS maps are legible, accurate and up to date, which fulfills the client’s most important need of reaching their goal in a quick and easy way.

COPERNICUS product group include:

• City plans
• Tourist maps
• Regional maps
• Atlases and road maps
• Agglomeration and city atlases
• Thematic maps

All products are characterized by a cover in an orange and navy blue tone which presents a graphic integrity. Many titles were issued in two versions of covers – paperback and hardback to suit different client's needs. Currently the series is made up of 130 titles with several more to come.
